E. Paige White

E. Paige White is a trial lawyer and strategic movement attorney, and the founder of EPW Law PLLC in Washington, D.C. Her practice spans criminal defense, civil rights, and complex civil litigation.

Paige works on the front lines of the civil rights movement in D.C. As federal law enforcement activity has intensified across the District, she has been at the center of the response — defending people swept up in aggressive enforcement operations and holding law enforcement accountable in civil suits for excessive force and misconduct. She treats movement work as a discipline: knowing which case to bring and when, building a record that holds up on appeal and not just in a press conference, and turning public attention into legal leverage without ever losing control of the litigation. That strategic instinct is what clients hire her for, whether the matter is a constitutional challenge, a catastrophic injury claim, or a serious felony defense.

Before founding her firm, Paige was an Associate Attorney and later Of-Counsel at Ben Crump Law, contributing to landmark matters including the Tyre Sampson and Astroworld cases. Working with the most important civil rights attorney in the country taught her how national cases are actually built: how to litigate a matter tried in the press as intensely as in court, how to coordinate co-counsel and experts across jurisdictions around a single theory of the case, how to move decisively in the first hours when evidence is most fragile and how to keep grieving families at the center of cases the rest of the world experiences as headlines.

At DiCello Levitt LLP, Paige represented families in high-stakes police brutality cases, including the Jayland Walker and Jalen Randle matters. She drafted and filed the first complaint in the widely covered hair relaxer mass tort and a class action sexual harassment case against a major manufacturer, and has litigated employment, sexual abuse, and police misconduct claims against prominent, well-resourced defendants.

Her career began at two of the country's most prestigious public defender offices: the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, where she handled serious felonies including homicides, and the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, where she developed the holistic approach that still shapes her practice. That foundation gave her what many civil litigators never develop — real trials, real juries, and composure when a client's liberty is on the line.

Paige grew up in Hampton, Virginia, inspired by her parents' pioneering spirit and commitment to their community. Her personal experience and her identity as a Black queer woman sharpen her judgment and deepen her advocacy. Her mission is simple: exceptional, personal representation paired with an unwavering commitment to challenging unjust systems.

Paige graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2016, where she was the only woman selected for the Trial Team's "Final Four" competition, and from Temple University with a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology as a scholarship track athlete.

Paige has been named a Rising Star by Super Laywyers in 2026., the National Black Lawyers named Paige one of the Top 100 attorneys in the country in 2025, and the Bar Association for the District of Columbia named her Young Lawyer of the Year in 2022. She co-chairs the Women's Bar Association of D.C. Women of Color Taskforce and serves as Content Curator of the American Association for Justice Minority Caucus. She is a graduate of the 2024 D.C. Bar Leadership Academy, AAJ Leadership Academy, and ABA Diverse Leaders Academy, and has served as Historian for the National Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, 2024 Co-Chair of the ABA's Women of Color, and chair of the Young Lawyers Section for the Bar Association for D.C.
